Bobby Lane was one of the first fishermen to join the ranks of Major League Fishing. He rocked the tournament world by recently announcing he was leaving MLF to fish in nine Bassmaster Opens to try to qualify to gain a berth in the Elite Tournament Series. Bobby Lane is one of only three anglers in the world who can claim to be a Redcrest Champion and a Bassmaster Elite Series winner. He’s going back to B.A.S.S. with his sights on a Bassmaster Classic invitation and win. We wouldn’t bet against that happening. Bobby, a guy with a big heart, also tells us about the Bobby Lane Cup, an event that awards young anglers college scholarship money. What a great guy!

This week we get to spend quality time with his father, the legendary William Davis, Sr. Mr. Davis invented the swim jig many years ago. He also invented the shaky head jig. Don’t believe it? Davis has the inventions registered and can prove it. He is the owner of the Davis Bait Company in Alabama and his creations have helped professional bass anglers wing hundreds of thousands of dollars in big tournaments across the country. Davis also manufactures a very special line of spinnerbaits that work like you have never seen before. William Davis, Sr. is a great guy and a genius in the tackle business.
